Easter Weekend...all caught up

Drew and Meghan are catching up and planning strategy for the Easter Egg Hunt at El Niguel.
She was a great Hunter and only stopped a few times to check out what was in her egg instead of checking every single one like last year.
She even had the facepainter paint a cat on her face. The jury's out on how much she actually looks like a cat, but the round cheeks certainly help!
After a great practice-round at El Niguel, Drew's skills were in top form for Easter Sunday's Egg Hunts.
Next year we won't stare directly into the sunlight.
Papa and his Great-Grandkids (except for Sierra) -- it was almost as difficult to get Papa to smile at the camera as it was the kids.
Drew and her Great-Grandpa, who is doing leaps and bounds better after being in the hospital for a week over Thanksgiving. He's almost up to golfing 18 holes again.
Drew and "Cade-y Boy" wrestling and giving each other zerberts. Drew loves playing with The Boys and she even managed to keep up with Cade for most of the day. Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

Gymnastics Birthday Party

Also last weekend, Drew was invited to a 5-year-old's birthday party at Cal Elite and she had a ball:

Belated Birthday Post

Jeremy's 31st birthday was March 29 (a week and a half ago) and I forgot to post the few pictures I took. We had dinner at Riptide and then came home to eat the 2-layer yellow cake Mom and I made from scratch. As always, Drew is just as excited to celebrate someone else's birthday as she is her own.
Especially when it involves cake. With chocolate.

More outside play

I love when it's nice outside and I can use my camera the way I intended -- action shots of Drew:

We ate lunch again outside and most of the time Drew had to dog-block her lunch from Nikki. Then she shared a piece. And that's why they are BFFs.

Just another day in the OC...

Let me preface by saying the water was probably 60 degrees. Drew does not care. She started off in overalls and ended up naked. It's nice to get a peek of those days where she can play outside for hours and exhaust herself for an actual nap...which we've been missing this week.

And here's why I looooove my new camera, FlipBook Drew:

I Love the 80s....and the Oscars

In case there's someone who hasn't seen these pictures from Facebook, we'll share them. Jeremy and I went a little 'urban' for our costumes...Jeremy is sporting a Pepperdine Waves jacket on top of a RunDMC shirt with a watch around his neck on a gold chain. I am wearing a vintage 1986 Vicki Scott orginal in silver, over a Yo! MTV Raps t-shirt and grey rolled jeans. The wave in my hair only needed a little hairspray, my hair actually does this naturally.

Joan Jett and Axl Rose were there, but had to leave semi-early to get back to their 4-month-old. Who knew?
Reverend Run and Don Johnson...aka DJ.
My contribution to the party: the birthday banner, of course.
Molly Ringwald (or the Material Girl?) was kind enough to pose with the Birthday Girl, Mo.
Number 1 co-Party Planner and her beau, Bret Michaels. You can't see it, but he is wearing a shirt that says "Blondes Have More Fun" and has a guitar strapped to his chest. We also had Teen Wolf at the party, but I know his picture is floating around Facebook somewhere.

And Best Actress goes to....Drew and Lauren!
He he...don't we look like the happy family? Drew has started naming all her babies "Baby Lauren" now, although there are a few that are still known as Alice. I'm still not sure why.

Fun with Chuck

Riding the clock...I can't believe she thinks this is fun -- I think it moves 6 inches in 5 minutes.

The Merry-Go-Round is still a hit, though I'm not sure for how much longer since it only has 3 horses and I think she runs faster than the ride moves. When did our 2-year-old become too big for Chuck E. Cheese?

Practicing her parallel parking. Ug, that Chuck is SUCH a backseat driver.
Barney is a much more roadtrip friendly.

This week...

On Sunday, Drew surprised us all and poopied on the potty! We've tried every bribe in the book and had to pay up big time: a new toy, Chuck E. Cheese, an M&M. Unfortunately she basically quit after that and now we're back to pull-ups full time until the power struggle subsides.

Drew was so happy to get her Boppa and Grammy back after 2 long trips. Here she is, snuggling up with her Boppa, and listening to all the noises in his tummy. There seems to be a lot going on in there.
A little trip to the park with a smoothie from Jamba Juice. Smoothies make her quite happy.
We visited Papa and he cut a big, beautiful flower for Drew to take home.

Best compliment ever.

This morning, while Jeremy spun a ball on his finger, Drew said:

"Daddy, you are the coolest man ever."
